Kaftan Dress Pattern- The Assembly Line

 

Our Scandinavian take on an iconic dress. Perfect for the beach styled with flip flops. Equally perfect for the five o’clock cocktails styled with your favourite heeled sandals. The Kaftan dress features raglan sleeves, an overlap v-neck which creates a pleat in the front, slit at sides, and in-seam pockets.

Model in the white dress is 170 cm tall and wearing a size S, model in the black dress is 178 cm tall and wearing a size S, and model in the stripy dress is 165 cm tall and wearing a shortened XL.

Fabric needed:

140-150 cm fabric width XS 3.1 m / S 3.1 m / M 3.2 m / L 3.2 m / XL 3.2 m / 2XL 3.3 m / 3XL 3.5 m 

110-120 cm fabric width XS 3.3 m / S 3.5 m / M 3.8 m / L 3.8 m 

Suggested fabrics are light to medium light weight fabrics such as linen, cotton, silk, crepe de chine or tencel.

The white Kaftan dress is sewn in tencel linen slub from MeterMeter. 

You will also need:

• Fusible interfacing 0.2 m
• Matching thread
